Brand Update


Physicians Insurance strives to embody our purpose and values in everything we do. 

Recognizing this, in 2022 our leadership took a moment to contemplate the organization’s accomplishments over the past 40 years—and how to best be there for our Members in the years to come. 

As a result, we redefined our core purpose against the backdrop of today’s increasingly difficult healthcare environment. Through a unified and deeply collaborative process, Physicians Insurance agreed to embrace a new, singular purpose: to protect, defend, and support its Members

Now, in 2023, with this refocused energy on purpose and core values, we have rejuvenated how the Physicians Insurance brand is presented in the marketplace, with a focus on financial strength, unwavering protection, empathetic expertise, and agile guidance to best support our wide range of Members. 

A new look and feel to the Physicians Insurance brand  was rolled out in September. Simultaneously, the organization consolidated websites for both its admitted insurance policyholders and its RRG policyholders under its anchor brand with an updated phyins.com. In step with this branding realignment, the name of our risk retention group, MedChoice RRG, was transitioned and is now known as Physicians Insurance Risk Retention Group, Inc.

Looking to 2024, PI Members will see the updated brand reflected in all communications, as well as continued website improvements over time. 

The Physicians Insurance rebranding effort marks a dedication to evolving and maintaining marketplace strength in order to best serve you, our Members, with the expertise and liability solutions that allow you to focus on what you do best—deliver quality care.
